through hands-on sewing classes.

Our inspiring program introduces children and teenagers to the basics of sewing in a fun, supportive setting.

Through creative projects, your child gain confidence, focus, and practical skills they will carry with them for life.

Ready to spark creativity in your child?

CLASS INFORMATION

​Beginner-friendly sewing lessons that teach essential machine techniques and how to read and understand patterns to complete a full project.

Sewing machines are provided, but feel free to bring your child's own machine if you prefer.

The workshop provides sewing machines and basic tools, including scissors, seam rippers, tape measures, seam gauges, fabric markers, pins, and needles. Feel free to bring your child's own machine if they prefer learning on their equipment.

Students will learn:

  • Thread and operate a sewing machine safely.​

  • Sew straight and curved seams.

  • Measure, cut, and pin fabric accurately.

  • Follow multi-step instructions.

  • Install a zipper (a huge confidence moment!)

  • Sewing safety and responsibility

  • Finish a project they can proudly use at home.

  • And much more. . .

Why We Start With Simple, High-Success Projects

At Sew Elementary Workshop, each project in our 4-week session is intentionally chosen to build skills step-by-step. Simple projects don't mean "easy" - they mean achievable, confidence-boosting, and developmentally appropriate for young makers. By starting with projects like a felt bookmark, drawstring bag, pillowcase, scrunchies, and a zipper bag, students learn the essential techniques they will use for every future sewing project.

Cost for sewing sessions

Tuition is $160 per student for a 4-week session, consisting of weekly 1-hour classes. Families are responsible for purchasing the fabric, notion, and patterns needed for each project. ($5–$25, depending on the design). One make-up class is offered per session for any missed class.

Tuition becomes non-refundable once the session begins.
